Take it Back by Kia Abdullah
A powerful read on a difficult subject. The characters were complex, has a good plot, and the fact that I couldn’t predict the ending made me enjoy even more.

Falling Into Magic by Elizabeth Pantley
Wonderful characters, a magical setting, and vivid descriptions. A nice cozy mystery with a library that is a character in itself.

Like It’s 1999 by Karen Grey
A novella that’s a full story. This commitment-phobic couple belong together, it just takes them awhile. Full of humor and on-point nostalgia references and movie quotes.

Christmas Miracle on Oyster Bay by Denise Stout
A story in the Then Comes Winter set, Christmas Miracle on Oyster Bay got my attention from the start because the setting is located in So. Maryland (my home state), the female main character owns a bookstore (my dream) and is named Lissa (I’m Lisa). This is a sweet, warm, and romantic read. Perfect length to take a break in the decorating. A nice updated Pride and Prejudice romance.

Hiss, Rattle, and Bite by Azaaa Davis
A somewhat dark urban fantasy novella featuring an amateur witch, revenge seeking vampires, and poisonous snakes. Personality of the characters comes through. Intriguing read!

Relentless by Christy Reece
Christy Reece is an auto-buy author for me and I’ve loved everything she’s written. Relentless tells a tale of a beautiful love connection set amongst danger, terror, and evil. (Christy writes the most vile, evil villians!) Multi-levels and is action packed. The beginning of the book broke my heart, the middle had me all over the place, and the ending mended my heart!

Together Evermore by Jemma Ryken
This debut novel is a steamy, second-chance, secret child, small town romance with some suspense and drama. I think it’s a very realistic new adult story. A very good start for this new author!
