REVIEW

 This somewhat dark urban fantasy novella features an amateur witch, revenge seeking vampires, and poisonous snakes. Not your run of the mill holiday read, but variety is good! Hiss, Rattle, and Bite is a super-fast read (under an hour) but the story is not compromised by the length. You are part of the descriptive setting and the personality of the characters comes through. Mari is a bit of a mess, disowned by her parents, boyfriend troubles, no money, and just wants to be anything but herself.  I am hoping this will turn into a series because I want more from Mari who is an intriguing character.
