ONE LAST CHANCE

In the concluding romantic suspense adventure of this Last Chance Rescue trilogy, former LCR operative Ethan Bishop must return to action when his ex-partner and one-time lover, Shea Monroe, is kidnapped…and programmed to kill.

Driven by grief and fury, Shea Monroe, an operative for Last Chance Rescue, goes deep undercover, vowing vengeance against the man who killed her husband. Instead, she ends up a captive and the unwilling weapon of a vicious human trafficker. But then she is rescued from her den of terror and shame by her husband’s best friend, Ethan Bishop, a man Shea feels irrevocably drawn to, despite her having lost all memory of her life before she was captured. Having saved Shea from a madman, Ethan will do anything to keep her safe, but he can’t allow the feelings he once had for her to resurface. While recovering from her ordeal and regaining her lost memory, Shea begins to fall for Ethan. But the treachery and tragedies of the past won’t leave either of them alone. And from Mexico, a monster has sent his foot soldiers to seize Shea–using a weapon beyond anyone’s worst nightmare.

REVIEW

(Reviewed: June 11, 2015)

First, I have to say that I love this book.  It was not an easy read. Meaning I got involved in the characters, I felt the anxiety and tension.  And it was not an easy road for the characters. I think the only thing easy in this book was the initial rescue of our heroine, Shea.  After that, it was all up hill. There’s a horrible villain that gave me the creeps. Shea’s healing is emotional. I wanted to slap hero Ethan a few times but deep down I love him.  There is true love there between the two and they are meant to be together. She just has to fight for him and he has to admit his feelings and believe he deserves happiness. And we meet poor Cole. Keep an eye on this one. He shows up in numerous books after.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING….

“Round three in Reece’s explosive and gritty trilogy dives into the frightening world of mind control. A common thread running through the Last Chance Rescue series is the characters’ torturous pasts. Up-and-comer Reece doesn’t flinch from running her protagonists through the literal wringer which, while painful, makes for mesmerizing reading. Romantic suspense has a major new star!”

Romantic Times

“The most terrifying novel in the Last Chance Rescue Trilogy, RUN TO ME, is a heart-racing tale from start to finish. RUN TO ME is flat-out scary, and I loved every minute of it!”

The Romance Reader’s Connection

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

51CGp315+wL._SY200_Growing up in a tiny Alabama community boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn’t thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place in her heart.

When she’s not writing or spending time with her wonderful family, she still loves to read. A suspenseful story full of drama, angst, suspense, mystery, and romance is still her favorite. Throw in a happy ever after and she is one happy camper.

Christy lives in Alabama with her husband and a menagerie of fur-kids.
