First, I have to say that I love this book.  It was not an easy read. Meaning I got involved in the characters, I felt the anxiety and tension.  And it was not an easy road for the characters. I think the only thing easy in this book was the initial rescue of our heroine, Shea.  After that, it was all up hill. There’s a horrible villain that gave me the creeps. Shea’s healing is emotional. I wanted to slap hero Ethan a few times but deep down I love him.  There is true love there between the two and they are meant to be together. She just has to fight for him and he has to admit his feelings and believe he deserves happiness. And we meet poor Cole. Keep an eye on this one. He shows up in numerous books after.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Growing up in a tiny Alabama community boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn’t thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place in her heart.

When she’s not writing or spending time with her wonderful family, she still loves to read. A suspenseful story full of drama, angst, suspense, mystery, and romance is still her favorite. Throw in a happy ever after and she is one happy camper.

Christy lives in Alabama with her husband and a menagerie of fur-kids.
