“Coming out of your shell is not the same as facing your problems.”
Started off slow for me, but I’m glad I stuck with it. It soon took my notice and had me turning the pages. Characters are well written. Their relationship grew slowly. I liked the town dynamics and how Claire was soon entwined with town though she tried to hid. Both main characters needed to come to terms as to where they really belonged. Interesting secondary characters, especially Ms. Meadows. A bit of Scottish and southern charm and a “Christmas miracle”.

An award-winning author, Laura Trentham was born and raised in a small town in Tennessee. Although, she loved English and reading in high school, she was convinced an English degree equated to starvation. She chose the next most logical major—Chemical Engineering—and worked in a hard hat and steel toed boots for several years.
