MY REVIEW:

The first book in the Silicon Valley Billionaires features Lauren Taylor and Gabe Betts. There is instant attraction between them. They are both brilliant, billionaire CEO’s of their own technology companies who are strong, determined, and stubborn. Gabe is a perfect match for Lauren. He is smart, protective, and caring. Lauren is very reserved, a control freak, and extremely driven which has led her to be a recluse. The characters are likeable and interesting. The author wrote an intriguing storyline featuring a female lead that is a young, brilliant scientist. She has come up with a life changing invention but is threaten by others trying to steal it before it hits the market. Their sexy romance comes at a time when Lauren is deep in the final testing modes, but Gabe is able to break down her barriers and I’m happy she is able to start having a life outside of the lab. There is an awesome female villain in this story that we haven’t heard the last from. Their story continues in book 2, Gabe, but I wouldn’t consider this to end in a cliffhanger.  I can’t wait to read more about Lauren and Gabe and the rest of the characters.

BLURB:

Two Headstrong, Driven CEOs. One Undeniable, Scorching Attraction. Being a scientist gives Lauren Taylor a purpose in life. At twenty-five, she’s the CEO of a billion-dollar biomedical company, Paragon Laboratories. On the brink of a major discovery, Lauren lets nothing interfere with her work. Until she meets Gabriel Betts, the gorgeous and brilliant CEO of another Silicon Valley startup, and is forced to face her inconvenient and overwhelming attraction to him. Billionaire Gabriel Betts is a successful scientist in his own right. He’s made his way in the world by being an early adopter and never losing focus. Captivated by Lauren’s brilliance and unselfconscious beauty, he’s determined to win the reclusive female CEO over at any cost. But what neither Gabe nor Lauren are prepared for is the white-collar danger that’s lurking in Silicon Valley… The danger that threatens not only their companies, but their very existence. * This is an update to the previously released High Interest and contains significant edits.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

911svg2tidl-_ux250_ Leigh James writes contemporary romance and romantic suspense. She is a vocal lover of strapping Alpha males in movies, books and real life, which makes her three kids roll their eyes and makes her husband feel appreciated. When she’s not writing, you can usually find her reading or watching Outlander, Game of Thrones, and Vikings (see penchant for Alpha males, above). She has a degree in journalism from the University of New Hampshire, which is good for deadlines and word counts, and a law degree from Suffolk University School of Law with a Concentration in High Technology Law, which is helpful when writing about sexy tech billionaires with legal woes.
