REVIEW

A new author offers a second chance romance wrapped up in a three-book series. Chasing the Idol is book 1 and offers a range of emotions. This was a bit of cold/hot read for me. The first half of the book was so-so for me. I wasn’t a fan of either character; Sophia was a bit bratty and I felt Connor a bit wimpy. The second half was a much better read as Connor steps up his game and Sophia has to catch up. I do wish we had more of a back story of the characters, especially what sent Sophia running from Hollywood, but perhaps that comes in later books.  It has drama and steamy scenes with a light erotica which I felt was written very well. Ivy Wild has potential and I will check out her other books. Overall enjoyed the story. If you a fan of New Adult/Steamy reads this is for you. I’m not fond of cliffhangers, but the following 2 books in the series are already available so you do not have to wait to continue the story.
