SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME

Working for Last Chance Rescue, Cole Mathison has been to hell and back. But being responsible for the death of an innocent man is a hell like no other. Longing for redemption, Cole finds himself embroiled in the mysterious disappearance of Keeley Fairchild’s young children. Rescuing the children is his mission—but falling in love with the widow of the man he inadvertently killed was never in the plans. When Keeley’s life is threatened, Cole’s demons must take a backseat to the most important mission of his life. He might never know the heaven of Keeley’s arms, but he’ll never survive the hell of failing to save her.

REVIEW

(reviewed June 11, 2015)

Second Chance features LCR agent Cole who has probably the most tortured life out of the agents so far.  This is another fantastic book in the LCR series capturing many emotions. I kept changing my mind on who I thought the villain was. One of my favorite things is the return of previous written characters and introductions to upcoming characters. They never take away from the main characters and you do not need to have read their story to enjoy this book. Their stories are so good you really need to though. A very well written and suspenseful book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

51CGp315+wL._SY200_Growing up in a tiny Alabama community boasting only one stop sign and a gas station gave Christy ample opportunity to create daring adventures in her head. When she wasn’t thinking of her story characters, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys kept her entertained and out of trouble. Later came the chills of Stephen King and the thrills of John Grisham, but the romance genre always held a strong place in her heart.

When she’s not writing or spending time with her wonderful family, she still loves to read. A suspenseful story full of drama, angst, suspense, mystery, and romance is still her favorite. Throw in a happy ever after and she is one happy camper.

Christy lives in Alabama with her husband and a menagerie of fur-kids.
