Finding Home by Reina Torres
Second Chance Series (book 1)
A St. Helena Vineyard Kindle World Novella
Published: May 30, 2016
MY REVIEW:
Reina Torres takes us through the community of St Helena so that we feel like we are a part of it. I have not read the St. Helena series but those that have will get glimpses of past favorite characters. This novella reads as a complete story. A lot is packed into it for being a novella. Finding Home has well developed characters and storyline. Loved the male lead, Teo, and his devotion to his Nonna and his patience and persistence with Mira. While I wanted to strangle the lead female, Mira, I was still drawn to her and rooting for her to open up her heart and take a chance. I enjoy Torres easy to read writing style. I have already read (and loved) Torres 2nd book in this series (Playing with Fire). I’m looking forward to her third contribution coming January 2017.
BLURB:
She wants to leave her past behind her. He wants to know everything about her. The truth won’t stay hidden forever. Mira walked away from what was left of her life in Los Angeles, a cheating lover had thrown both her job and her heart under the bus. She found a new start in St. Helena, a house and friends that soothed her aching heart, and after a year everything is running smoothly. Until her match-making neighbor sends her grandson over to borrow some garlic, no simple sugar in this town. None of her promises to put her heart on the shelf are going to save Mira from the way he turns her life upside down. Teodoro spent years building a successful business with his brother in L.A. but his last girlfriend’s cold dismissal had him seeking the comforts of home in St. Helena. His grandmother isn’t about to let him wallow and she knows the perfect cure, love. Mira quickly works her way into his heart, but there’s something she’s running from. He wants her to turn to him instead hiding, because he can’t let himself fall for someone who’ll just walk away when things get tough. Finding Home continues to explore the sun dappled vineyards and groves of St. Helena after the conclusion of Marina Adair’s amazing romance series. You’ll find new friends along the way and visit with old friends at every turn.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Love – Romance – Books Aren’t they all the same thing? Oh, I sure hope so! I’ve been reading romance books for what seems like forever. When I was a teen, the days that I wasn’t in dance class after school I’d go to the mall to wait for my mom to finish work for the day and my haunt of choice… Waldenbooks. (I think I just showed my age there.) Whether it was Scottish Lairds, Medieval Knights, Regency Gents, Rough and Tumble Cowboys, or handsome modern Heroes, I loved them all! There was always another hero and heroine to follow through page after page of breathless love! I really hope that my readers will enjoy some of the same thrills as discover characters to love between the pages of my books
