Highly captivating and emotional story filled with love, pain, trust and lack of trust, horror, revenge, loyalty, action and suspense.
Action packed emotional ride from the beginning to the end. Fabulous characters that I adore each time I read about them. I simply love catching up with some of my favorite agents from previous LCR books. While some are in this story, they don’t take away from it and you don’t have to have read previous books. We meet new agents too and I can’t wait to read their upcoming stories. I read this when it was released in September 2014. It still gets to me. One of my very favorites of Christy Reece’s books and I LOVE all her books. It could be because of the main characters deep love for one another and having that love stripped away. Finding each other again and having to fight for that love again after being tortured, led to believe things that aren’t true, and hoping the memories and truth come back. A very powerful read.

Chance Encounter: An LCR Elite Novel (book 2)
Christy Reece consistently delivers emotion, suspense, and fantastic reading. This was, in my opinion, not the normal full-out action, intense packed LCR novel that I’ve come to know, but a sweeter story with a lot of tender romance. I loved it. The action did come, but it was later in the novel. Kacie’s character is pure sweetness with growing confidence while still working on her recovery from evil events five years ago. Brennan is full of self-contempt; a victim of his own demons. He was unjustly judged and never fought to redeem himself because he just didn’t care enough. He shows Kacie his gentleness, makes her feel treasured, makes her feel again, and gives her strength to get through everything being thrown at her. He feels, however, that he will taint her reputation by being around her. She is a model known worldwide with more greatness in store. He is a hated former football celebrity with an ax to grind with the press. They just wouldn’t work. But their chemistry is undeniable and they can’t fight it. Again, Ms. Reece threw me in different directions on the villain. I didn’t even get close on guessing the right one, never had the villain on my radar. What a specular ending. A wonderful addition to the LCR Elite series.

Running Scared: An LCR Elite Novel (book 3)
Running Scared, the third book in Christy Reece LCR Elite series, spotlights operatives Riley Ingram and Justin Kelly. Justin first came on the scene in book 2 of the series (Run to Me) and made an impression on me as he was on his own, undercover, trying to find and save his kidnapped sister. He later joined LCR as an operative a few books later. Riley’s character was introduced later in the series and has been somewhat of a mystery character though you knew a good backstory was there. She rarely interacted with others, was closed-off and withdrawn. The two are partners who work great together on ops but ignore each other otherwise. They both trust and respect each other and find themselves fighting their attraction for each other. Riley has reached a point in her life where she is ready to face her past and stop hiding. Many characters return from previous books to help Riley & Justin take down the evil people of her past.
Running Scared is a heart wrenching story that gives you action, family betrayal, courage, determination, passion, support, trust, and love. Christy Reece writes bad-assed heroes and heroines that you root for and fall in love with, along with pure evil villains that have you looking over your shoulder. As always, Reece delivers an emotional, intense, action-filled, romantic suspense story that ends with the Happily Ever After. I truly enjoyed reading Riley and Justin’s love story and having Riley take down the evilness of her past and finally feel that she belongs and has a family in LCR.
