Alaskan Mountain Search by Sarah Varland

K-9 Search and Rescue, Book 8

Love Inspired Suspense (January 24, 2023)

Christian Mystery & Suspense/Clean & Wholesome Romance

A missing teen, a killer on the prowl…

This K-9’s on the case.

In the Alaskan wilderness, there’s only one way to track a serial killer: a K-9. For police captain Bre Dayton, that means working with her ex, search and rescue worker Griffin Knight. With her niece missing and possibly kidnapped, Bre has to find the murderer known as the Echo Pass Hunter—fast. Even if it means trusting the man who broke her heart…and putting herself in the killer’s crosshairs.

From Love Inspired Suspense: Courage. Danger. Faith.

A Christian Mystery and Suspense with a hint of a second chance romance. Took me a bit to get into this. I prefer the hero to be more sure of himself. Bre had to learn to trust people and to trust God. Griffin has a strong faith but feels unworthy. I did like reading about the wilderness and the authors writing was very descriptive. Good mystery.  I had no clue who the killer could have been. I’d recommend to those who enjoy Christian fiction and suspense.

SARAH VARLAND lives in the woods in Georgia with her husband, John, their two boys and their dogs. Her passion for books comes from her mom; her love for suspense comes from her dad, who has spent a career in law enforcement. Her love for romance comes from the relationship she has with her husband and from watching too many chick flicks. When she’s not writing, she’s often found reading, baking, kayaking or hiking.
