This really was a clever retelling of Pride and Prejudice. It’s a murder mystery set in the Regency era. Has a strong female main character. It’s light on the romance, more of Lizzie out to prove herself. Lizzie is fiery, speaks her mind, and isn’t afraid to take chances – truly an unconventional young lady for that time. The pacing was well done, has fun banter, and a murderer which I did not guess! The author did a wonderful job of giving this story new life.
