The main job of a toddler is to play! Almost anything a toddler does they are learning and developing new skills. This activity book makes keeping them busy outside easy with wonderful ideas that require little to no prep time. No activity is longer than 20 minutes which is about the limit of a toddler’s attention span. This is not a summer time idea book – this has year-round, all weather, outdoor activities. They are broken down into 5 different themes ( Make it Messy; Run, Jump, and Play; Embrace Nature; Get Wet; and Outdoor Art). The book is laid out well with indicators of the skills used, materials needed, prep instructions, and the steps to the activity. So many sensory activities for toddlers and bigger kids too! Very well-done activity book. An excellent resource for child care providers, teachers, and parents.
