A WEEK OF CHILDREN’S EASTER BOOKS

Christian Books & Bibles/History/Religion & Spirituality
BLURB:
With simple, evocative language and boldly envisioned illustrations, this deeply felt retelling of the Easter story will inspire families of many backgrounds to celebrate the joys of love, forgiveness, and hope all year round.
MY REVIEW:
From the other Easter books I have highlighted this week, this is the only religious book that I used in my home based child care. Due to other people beliefs, this was only read with the approval of the parents, and when I knew only certain children were present. This was actually purchased when my daughter was very young. I feel this is a very good retelling of the story; it is very effective and affecting. The illustrations are bold and draw the eye.
Some of Lauren Thompson books that I know I have used in the child care setting that come to mind are Little Quack and Mouse’s First Spring.
