This is a quick read (50 pages) and doesn’t get too involved. Christmas is briefly mentioned but this is not a Christmas story. The relationship moves really fast and then something happens that makes Naomi question whether she made the right decision by moving to DC and working for Will.  I wasn’t vested in the characters (they weren’t my favorites), but I was drawn to the two plot twists. I think they really made the book. They came out of the blue and were totally unexpected.
