The Lost Sheenan by Jane Porter
Taming of the Sheenans (book 6)
Tule Publishing (July 2016; reissue with new title/cover)
She’s hiding from her past. He’s chasing his. Neither expects the spark that could change everything.
Trying to mend her broken heart, twenty-four-year-old teacher Jet Diekerhof takes a gap year to start fresh. Her family is horrified until her sister Harley finds her a long-term sub position at a one-room schoolhouse in Marietta, Montana. Jet’s grateful to be far from her meddling relatives, and the guy who broke her heart. She’s sworn off men…until she meets darkly handsome Shane Swan.
At thirty-four, Shane has always been an outsider. Raised by his grandmother until her death when he was four, he spent his childhood in foster care. Brilliant and ambitious, he’s become one of America’s most successful writers. Yet none of his success answers the question that haunts him: why was he given away while his brothers were kept? Determined to uncover the truth, Shane moves to Marietta. And no one is closer to the Sheenans than Brock’s young sister-in-law, Jet.
Shane never meant to use her, but Jet may hold the key to his past, and resisting the growing pull between them soon becomes impossible.

REVIEW
The Lost Sheenan was released in 2016. It has had a cover update/name change (formerly The Lost Sheenan’s Bride). I’ve reread it and it stands the test of time. Reads current and just as lovely as it was almost 9 years ago. This story is centered on finding oneself. I enjoyed the wonderful writing and thought-out characters. I read this in one sitting as I was totally engrossed in the story. Loved it!
If you have read the series, you know the Sheenan brothers are a tight, strong, loyal unit. Each book is wonderful and I highly recommend them. They do stand alone and you will not be lost if this is your first book to read.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I write both romance and women’s fiction, and I write in both genres because the stories matter, because women matter and families matter, and love matters very, very much. I love the very strong heroes because I grew up with some really strong women in my family. Even today, it has continued to surprise me that men sometimes are a bit baffled that I want to be so successful, that I have ambition, that I’m willing to work this hard.
