Layers of family secrets, murders, and a broken family
Double Edged Reckoning is centered around the Bennet brothers, their family secrets, two murders, and PI Samantha Price who is trying to clear her father of the murders. The three brothers are vastly different; military, rancher, and a lawyer. They’ve never been close and barely tolerate each other. I liked the complexity of the characters. This is a really well-done mystery. I loved the twists at the end and how Sam handled the situation. This is book 1 of a new series and I am eager to read the next one. There were a few things not addressed that I hope will be in the upcoming books (ie the pocketknife, what led to the muteness of the women on the neighboring property, outcome of current arrest). Very engaging read!
