A very quick, interesting read. I liked the story but did feel a little bit of disconnect. It seemed to be part of a series, though it says it is book 1. The cast of characters seem to have a familiar connection which really isn’t explained. I didn’t get a feel for who the characters really were. After reading, I looked and it seems to be a connection to two other series by the author. The writing is wonderful and the story had me intrigued.
