REVIEW

I knew this was a trilogy. With a trilogy you know the books are related and generally need to be read in order. Some have cliffhangers and others don’t. This does end in a big cliffhanger which isn’t my favorite. I knew it was possible, but still felt like a bummer. Book 2 is coming in June so not too long of a wait. The book did read fast and kept my attention. Darren is very unlikeable to me right now but I have a feeling he’s going to grow on me in the upcoming books (the author does create very unlikeable characters which you end up loving). Evangeline, I need to know more about; there wasn’t much depth to her character yet (just that she’s a high paid escort, very sexy, doesn’t have a good relationship with her mother, no father in the picture). I do like her attitude and I’m sure we get to know her better in the upcoming books as well. Darren and Evangeline are complete opposites with off the chart chemistry. I will definitely finish the trilogy but may wait until the third book is released. (just my personal preference). If you like marriage of convenience and steamy reads this is for you. Just beware it is a cliffhanger.

Paula Dombrowiak grew up in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, right on beautiful Lake Michigan. She used to think it was an ocean, because you can’t see the other side, until she got older and became aware of geography. The Chicago lakeshore is her favorite place in the whole world.

Paula moved to Arizona in 1997 because the Chicago winters wore her down and she needed a little sunshine in her life. She came to appreciate the diversity of Arizona, the desert, the mountains, and the lakes. Yes, there are lakes in Arizona and it even snows up in the high country.

Paula really is a music junkie to the core and loves discovering new bands, just as much as she loves writing. So why not combine the two? That was how Blood and Bone was born. Her favorite music is Classic Rock, Grunge, and Alternative. She also loves to read and mostly enjoys YA (all subgenres), Romance, and Non-Fiction.
