REVIEW
“How far would you go to protect the person you love most in the world?”
A psychological thriller centered around a mother daughter relationship. A horrific deception created for protection. Told in dual POV from the mother and daughter; past and present. Filled with twists and turns, lies, and secrets. A wonderful read but marked down to 4 because the beginning did not read as the description; I felt like the story was about something totally different which I almost stopped reading. It hit a little bit close to home and wasn’t the plot I was hoping to read. Luckily, at chapter 14 it became riveting, and the story took hold. I now know that the beginning needed to be told as it is; so don’t give up on it. It’s totally worth the wait.
